SCANUL-ECS activities involve the following:

• General Conferences where a variety of papers are presented, discussed and resolutions made
• Case studies:
  Case studies are carried out to find solutions to some pertinent problems within the profession.
  
  A case study on “Financing of African University Libraries by John Willemse” was completed and has been published.
  
  A case study on “Existing and Functioning Consortia in the SCANUL-ECS Region by Beatrice Sekabembe” was completed and has been published.
  
• SCANUL-ECS Newsletter :
  The 3rd issue of the SCANUL-ECS newsletter has been distributed. The next issue is expected very soon.
• Workshops:
  The SCANUL-ECS executive hope to organize a workshop for professionals in the region in mid-2003
